On the 4th of July, I was in Pacific Beach shooting pictures for a specific project. More about that when it is done.
I don't know if it was just the time I was there, but the beach really didn't seem that crowded to me. The parking was terrible, but you expect that in PB. I got there early and had breakfast on the boardwalk while I waited for the clouds to burn off.
I enjoyed walking on Crystal Pier very much. The cottages were decorated with Stars and Stripes flags in the window boxes, which went very well with the white paint and blue shutters. Each cottage has a different design cut out of the shutters. It's a pity that the pier outside the cottages is filled with cars, as this ruins it from a photographic perspective. I try very hard to keep cars out of my photos, but sometimes it's just not possible.
I took this shot of lifeguards at F20 at 1/160 of a second.
