Vista woman admitted felony graffiti after two weeks in jail
Eva Knott 9:34 a.m., May 18
Remember
To breathe.
The inhale filled
With hope and optimism.
The exhale releasing
The pain.
Remember
The yin and yang of the Universe
Contain both the light
And the dark.
The Sun may shine with Jupiter
But Pluto casts his shadow.
Remember
You were brought forth
With a love that will always
Live within you.
It is the balm
when life burns.
Remember
That your strong roots
Grow deep in rich soil.
Nourish them and they will
Provide you with
Everything you need.
Remember
That you are not alone.
You will never be alone.
Not even death will
Break the invisible cord
That binds us.
Remember
The bittersweet dance
On this Earth is short.
Learn from the bitter,
Cherish the sweet,
And Remember
To breathe.

I love this line: "the balm when life burns"! Nice sentiments expressed in this poem.

Thanks, guys. I think it might be a little sappy and trite. I really know nothing about poetry except the poems I enjoy reading touch me deeply.
My bambino has been going through a rough patch lately. I wrote it for him to try and make him feel better.
