Knowing J. Edgar's hatred for Richard Nixon, I'm sure he was persona non gratis in Toluca Lake. The Nixon-baiting, coupled with the fact he had "sugar in his gas tank, you know," meant Bob wanted nothing to do with him. It's a good thing you didn't live to see this, Dolores. It would have further compounded your restless head syndrome.
