Constituent says Mayor Filner sexually harassed her at monthly meet and greet event
Come on Dorian! You can't call this reporting. The anonymous Women must come out and deal with the consequences of their accusations. Don't get defensive about this. You are contributing to this "anonymous" lynching of the Mayor. Last time anyone tried to kiss me or touch me without consent they got a good slap. Give me a break, they better have more than this. We will see what happens later today.— July 15, 2013 5:59 a.m.
Public records show a close working relationship between Councilmember Lorie Zapf and Sunroad Vice President Tom Story
Angry Sherman is hiding something, he is the first one to blow the whistle. He asked Jones at the Council meeting about any payments for the easement. Lightner was "delighted" to make the motion without staff report or any report at Land Use meeting.— July 10, 2013 6:29 a.m.
Public records show a close working relationship between Councilmember Lorie Zapf and Sunroad Vice President Tom Story
PS, Remember that we already have the infamous voice mail from the orchestrator Tom Story left for Kevin Faulconer “…we paid the money.” I am sure Sherman, Kearsy and others also participated.— July 9, 2013 11:39 a.m.
Public records show a close working relationship between Councilmember Lorie Zapf and Sunroad Vice President Tom Story
I believe that Zapf and Gloria (and maybe others) are in violation of the Brown Act by colluding privately aided by Story prior to the meeting (even phone conversations are prohibited). I think that the entire decission may be thrown out. Check this out. Stockton Newspapers v. Redevelopment Agency, 171 Cal. App. 3d 95— July 9, 2013 11:25 a.m.
Did City Attorney Jan Goldsmith lift the suspension on closed session meetings?
Goldsmith has no choice in the matter. The llttigation will continue running it's course through the courts. The City Attorney has no choice but to get directions from the City Council and the Mayor. Goldsmith grandstanding has no teeth.— July 8, 2013 5:51 a.m.
Council President Todd Gloria's Office says no vote was taken to release closed-session transcripts
By releasing the partial transcript, Goldsmith effectively waived the privilege for the entire transcript of the closed session, not just for the non agenda items. Worst case scenario for Goldsmith, he is ordered to release the entire transcript, and he is sanctioned for releasing privileged closed session minutes without the Legislative Body's required vote, which are specifically described as not a public record under the Brown Act. This after Chalk Gate should keep Goldsmith from running again to the Feds complaining about the Mayor's efforts to protect the average folks. The Feds have major concerns such as international terrorism, Snowden, and other heavy duty stuff, and the Feds are not going to fall for their own Chalk Gate in sunny San Diego.— July 6, 2013 7:31 a.m.
Lawsuit coming over City Attorney's refusal to release complete record of Filner and Jones exchange
Goldsmith's petty and dumb actions trying to embarrass our Mayor have gotten him now in big trouble. Good reporting! Thank you!— July 2, 2013 2 p.m.
Is it the mess or the message? City Attorney has been selective when prosecuting chalk vandalism
Never mind the kids using chalk on sidewalks. What about the wealthy adults blatantly putting dangerous traffic signs on public streets? http://obrag.org/?p=74694 Does that matter to Goldsmith? Well, his friend Faulconner is involved, so I guess he will just look the other way! Injustice anywhere is a threat of injustice everywhere!— July 1, 2013 9:17 a.m.
Questions raised over City Attorney's decision to release transcripts of closed session meeting
Curiously, it looks like both the UT and Channel 10 thought at the very same time, that for the first time the City Attorney would release the confidential transcript. The Channel 10 document has watermarks stating that it belongs to them. The UT posting has no Watermarks.— June 23, 2013 8:43 a.m.
Questions raised over City Attorney's decision to release transcripts of closed session meeting
While you are at it, you may also request a copy of Channel 10's official request to "the City" for Public Records, and other information related to such request. You will then know how long Andrew Jones has in fact been attending Closed Session, as "he oversees all litigation in Closed Session" according to Goldsmith.— June 23, 2013 7:32 a.m.
