Lawn Mower Man
What was your confession?— August 5, 2008 12:32 p.m.
Bale out on Bail, and a Former Bad Boy is Bad Again
I have to agree, what it so special about Gary Oldman? He really is not as legendary or talented as people make out. He's just been in the game for so long now, people attribute legend status to him.— July 27, 2008 3:15 a.m.
Cop Shooting at Gay Pride
Hmmm where I come from the cops behave ambominably and it would be madness to take their side. Perhaps your fuzz boys still do a dangerous job but ours really do prefer paperwork and donuts to pounding the streets. Its a strange world to be sure.— July 27, 2008 3:10 a.m.
Stupid Skydivers
There is so much danger in the world and potential risk, I think you have to let people decide for themselves whether they want to take that risk, so long as they don't hurt others. We can't walk around swathed in cotton wool and bubble wrap can we. Some people definatly get a buzz from dangerous situations, like Evil Knievel, p'raps its a primal thing. If its true about only living once, why not skydive? It sounds quite fun.— July 20, 2008 3:18 p.m.
100 Best Movie Villians
Well I can't help having a soft spot for the less fortunate.— July 20, 2008 3:10 p.m.
The N Word
You need to come to the UK and talk to the idiot politicians and media moguls who preach the crap and give it to them straight. What happened to good old common sense amongst all races?— July 20, 2008 3:04 p.m.
100 Best Movie Villians
Nah, those pilots were told to shoot down a defenceless primate. A Vampire is like a cat, he cannot help but prey on humans for blood just as a cat needs the nutrient taurine found only in animal fat. Vamps are driven by need and instinct, they are obligate carnivores if you like. If you look at Kong in detail, you realise he is never the villain. To take a free species out of it's natural habitat and bend it to your will is just plain cruel. Carl Denham was the main bad guy in the film along with everyone else who contributed to the poor creature's downfall.— July 19, 2008 3:40 a.m.
100 Best Movie Villians
OOh definatly see LOTR but read the book first. As for Addie, no one can play him better than Bruno Ganz who was also a rather villainous Johnathan Harker in Herzog's Nosferatu. It would be interesting to see both Stalin and Mao portrayed on the big screen, they are right up there with Hitler when it comes to villains.— July 18, 2008 3:53 p.m.
100 Best Movie Villians
Nice list, can't argue with Mitchum although I'd also nominate him for Night of the Hunter. Bela Lugosi is a definate no. Dracula isn't really a villain, just a product of his species. Nosferatu on the other hand exudes a truly evil air. Baby Jane is a good choice as is Bates but the ultimate and evil villains for me would have to be Conrad Veidt's (also see him as a nazi in Casablanca) turn as Jaffar in Theif of Bhagdad, Vincent Price as Edward Lionheart in Theatre of Blood and the pilots who shot down poor old King Kong off the Empire State Building in 1933.— July 18, 2008 3:42 p.m.
C is for Cookie (and cocaine)
Those are just a few of the reasons why I never eat out and prepare my own food all the time. And yes, Howard Hughes was a relative of mine.— July 16, 2008 3:54 a.m.
