Number of mayoral candidates now stands at nine...make that 13
Thanks, Dorian. I should add he has been on both the Old Town and Point Loma community planning groups, where all sorts of local issues are discussed on a microscopic level, and something I can't imagine someone like DeMaio, etc., ever doing.

Number of mayoral candidates now stands at nine...make that 13
There is no reason to believe that Coons would be a one- issue candidate, just because that's all you have heard reported about him. He is a long- time (not just this year) Democrat, he has lived in San Diego longer than Fletcher, DeMaio, and Gloria COMBINED. And he knows how the City works like few people do. He has run a staff larger than DeMaio's business, worked for real business ( and not in fake jobs like Fletcher), and, unlike DeMaio, actually could fix a pothole himself (well, he makes adobe bricks and builds with them, him much harder could a pothole be?)

Decision in Sherman Heights Walmart case could spell trouble for opponents of North Park Jack in the Box
Miguel: driving to another Jack-in-the-Box where drive-thru is allowed takes 5 minutes. Driving to Suguaro's 24 hour drive-thru taco shop takes 2 minutes: try it. How many people starved to death during the few months this location been closed? I think you know the answer to that. Jack's has plenty of paid PR people, please don't kick them and their families out of a job by doing their work free for them.

Who's investigating Filner? It's who's NOT investigating him
How does ex-Mayor Sanders warrant a private briefing from Sheriff Gore? How much was he told about the ongoing investigation? Is he the one stage managing the slow release of the accusers? Somebody certainly is.

Let’s Build an Even Bigger Jack in the Box in North Park
Yes, 50 years ago the 7-11s were really open just 7am to 11 pm. The issue is "what qualifies as a remodel?" It has been the City's policy that if you keep just one wall, and no roof material, and mostly the same footprint. In a sane world, it would be based on a percentage of the building's value. However, Jack lied to the neiborhood and said that no exterior walls would be changed, this does not bode well for their legal chances, should anyone sue.

The suspicious timeline of the Filner recall, domain names registered January 7th
Sandiegodeservesbetter.com
is run by the County Republican Party. They used to say that on the page but they took it down. You can probably get an old version at
archive.org
on the wayback machine.

Councilmember Lorie Zapf collects $130k in six months nearly $36k from fundraisers hosted by Sudberry Properties
Expect more Squid Pro Quo from her.

Jan Goldsmith scrambling to change City Charter to make recalling Filner easier back in early May
I'm guessing Todd Gloria was clued in early. He has taken such a hard right turn since his ( unopposed) reelection. Have to make the business community think you are someone that can be dealt with most of the time, and endless dwelling on the failed Jacobs plan to pay back the donations that you really didn't even have to ask for. Just wondering if the Republican private eye operatives found something on Donna instead of Filner. Sounds crazy, but it's almost like she is being blackmailed or something.
— July 29, 2013 11:07 p.m.
Public records show a close working relationship between Councilmember Lorie Zapf and Sunroad Vice President Tom Story
And this is one that the Feds are supposedly investigating Filner on? And both Zapf and Gloria are asking for his resignation? And neither have corrected the Media's assumption/wish that is was all about Filner? Stop me if I made an error here. I do want to know if they really had the bisque, or were there other food options? The soup at Thai Time next door to Dobsons is good also, I have tried that.
— July 18, 2013 6:31 a.m.
Emails show Doug Manchester in no rush in bringing Grand Del Mar to code
He just thinks he's going to stall it out until he makes DeMaio the Mayor, and then all will be forgiven.

Number of mayoral candidates now stands at nine...make that 13
Thanks, Dorian. I should add he has been on both the Old Town and Point Loma community planning groups, where all sorts of local issues are discussed on a microscopic level, and something I can't imagine someone like DeMaio, etc., ever doing.— August 29, 2013 9:13 a.m.
He has run a staff larger than DeMaio's business, worked for real business ( and not in fake jobs like Fletcher), and, unlike DeMaio, actually could fix a pothole himself (well, he makes adobe bricks and builds with them, him much harder could a pothole be?)— August 29, 2013 7:20 a.m.
Jack's has plenty of paid PR people, please don't kick them and their families out of a job by doing their work free for them.— August 19, 2013 11:17 a.m.
Who's investigating Filner? It's who's NOT investigating him
How does ex-Mayor Sanders warrant a private briefing from Sheriff Gore? How much was he told about the ongoing investigation? Is he the one stage managing the slow release of the accusers? Somebody certainly is.— August 6, 2013 6:13 p.m.
However, Jack lied to the neiborhood and said that no exterior walls would be changed, this does not bode well for their legal chances, should anyone sue.— August 4, 2013 10:09 p.m.
The suspicious timeline of the Filner recall, domain names registered January 7th
Sandiegodeservesbetter.com is run by the County Republican Party. They used to say that on the page but they took it down. You can probably get an old version at archive.org on the wayback machine.— August 2, 2013 7:32 p.m.
Councilmember Lorie Zapf collects $130k in six months nearly $36k from fundraisers hosted by Sudberry Properties
Expect more Squid Pro Quo from her.— July 30, 2013 8:26 p.m.
Sounds crazy, but it's almost like she is being blackmailed or something.— July 29, 2013 11:07 p.m.
The soup at Thai Time next door to Dobsons is good also, I have tried that.— July 18, 2013 6:31 a.m.
Emails show Doug Manchester in no rush in bringing Grand Del Mar to code
He just thinks he's going to stall it out until he makes DeMaio the Mayor, and then all will be forgiven.— July 15, 2013 11:34 p.m.
