Peter C. Salisbury

Pete Salisbury spent eight years in the U.S. Navy (1971-78) which included two Western Pacific cruises to Vietnam aboard the carrier USS Ranger CVA-61, was assistant plane captain for the prime recovery helicopter for SKYLAB II and III space lab missions aboard the USS New Orleans LPH-11, and helped train Canadian sailors aboard the HMCS Provider AOR-508. He has lived in Imperial Beach almost 40 years and has written community news for the past 10 years for the South County Eagle & Times, La Prensa San Diego, and for the past three years he has contributed news items to the Reader. He has worked as an extra on 18 Wheels of Justice with G. Gordon Liddy, and played proud parent #48 in an episode of Veronica Mars. He is currently writing a graphic novel entitled The Teenage Pumpkin Heads.
