Wet 'N Reckless
According to its owner, this business is a nod to his “wet and reckless,” style of brewing. That free-wheeling method (which includes the use of malt extracts) yields some of the most consistently unpalatable beers in San Diego. Beers are typically poorly attenuated, thick, sweet, and out of acceptable ranges where beer style guidelines are concerned. Offensive beer monikers like Pop My Cherry Ale and Genocide IPA; a sparse, juvenile tasting room; and off-putting, awkward service further detract.
