Stumblefoot Brewing Co.
When this small brewery opened in early 2012, it was producing inconsistent beers that missed the mark on flavor. Much of that had to do with a make-shift system and inability to procure desired varieties of hops. The business has since doubled its space and upgraded its system, though the beers remain hit-and-miss with too many coming in as misses. Hits include a chipotle stout and an easy-drinking Schwarzbier, a rarity in San Diego. The company’s beers are mostly available in its warm and accommodating (and hard to find) industrial suite tasting room.
