The burgers are made from Black Angus beef, so they cost more. But there are deals, too, like the huge The Works omelet and the robust lunchtime homemade soup of the day. Inexpensive.

    1. This place is the WORST restaurant I have ever been too. I went in there to order lunch for me & my daughter. There were only 2 people in the whole place. We waited for over 10 minutes for the waitress to bring us a menu. Once she did, I asked her if we could also have some water & her response was one of iritation that I had even made the request. Needless to say, I got up & left before I said something I would regret. Tiger Woods has never been to this restaurant, despite what they may say. If you ever come through this way, just keep on going & don't bother stopping.

    2. Worst ever! 4 of us finally order from the waitress, and we get drinks 10 minutes later, along with our salad and bread. Another couple comes in, orders, gets drinks, gets food, eats, pays, leaves... we're still waiting for our dinner!
We could even see the cook hiding in the kitchen doorway looking at us. It took over 1 1/2 hours for our food to get to the table.
I TOld the waitress I wanted the manager over. The manager/owner was a rude east coast snob. We spent almost 2 hours in that place, and I was mad. The owner was so arrogant about the whole thing--acting like it was our fault! NEVER AGAIN!

    3. I see the two reviews above slam the place pretty hard so I don't know, they could be fictitious. I was tooling around the old hood with my daughter and stopped in for a quick bite. I am a Mtn. Empire alumni and I knew the place was owned by a couple of alumni so I though we would give it a try. I had no issues what-so-ever. Waitress (who was also an alumni) was pleasant and the service was timely. My daughter had the chicken strips and fries and liked them more than the ones she get's on a regular basis at Chili's. I had the cheeseburger with fries and it was cooked medium and had all the fixings and was tasty and filling. Considering this restaurant is all the way out in Cameron Corners I felt the prices were right where they should be. I know if I'm up in the area again I will stop by for sure. By the way I forgot to leave a tip because my daughter distracted me because she broke the tabs on the take-home box. I will catch you at the reunion in a few months..promise. Go Redskins!!

    4. I have read all three comments and I agree with onefatstratcat. I too am a Mountain Empire Alumni but this has nothing to do with how I feel about the Campo Diner. The staff is very friendly and the food is awesome! My husband and I like to try different small diners and we always come back to the Campo Diner. Not only is the food great but if you leave hungry it is certainly not their fault. Prices are comparable to most restaurants. My personal favorites are the Country Breakfast with ham and the Club Sandwich (which I have to share because it is so big). Oh yeah and Tiger Woods was here in Campo!!!!!!!
