Alpine Beer Company
Many in and outside of San Diego consider this small, far-flung brewery to be the area’s best thanks to assertive yet balanced IPAs and over-the-top double IPAs. Other styles consistently wow. Low production and high demand make this one of the only places to find the company’s beers, though Green Flash Brewing Company will soon allow Alpine to produce more of its most popular beers at its brewery. Still, a pilgrimage for bottles and growlers plus succulent barbecue from the family-run brewery’s diner-like restaurant is the only way to get the full Alpine experience.
