L.A.-based violinist Nora Germain is the star of this weeks’ Young Lion’s series at Croce’s Park West (2760 Fifth Avenue) joined by pianist Ed Kornhauser and bassist Will Pierce. 7 p.m. $5 cover… Trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos hosts the Latin Jazz jam session with Irving Flores, Rob Thorsen, Charlie Chavez, and Mike Holguin at Seven Grand Whiskey Bar (3054 University Avenue) 9 p.m. No cover, musicians bring your instruments!... Trio Gadjo plays gypsy jazz and features Aaron Mahn and Jason Durbin on guitars, Jeremy Eikam on bass, with special guest Claudia Gomez on tap percussion at Leroy’s Coronado (1015 Orange Avenue) Free!

Monday 21
Bassist Danny Weller returns to San Diego from NYC to star in a double-header concert at Dizzy’s. Opening is the Novas Trio with Jeff Miles on guitar, Rodrigo Recabarren on drums, and Carlos Vera L. on vibraphone.
