Padres take down Nationals in heroic fashion

The San Diego Airport Noise Advisory Committee recently released the latest number of time-restriction violations for take-offs from Lindbergh Field. A curfew forbids planes from departing between 11:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.; fines are issued for transgressions.
During the last six-month compliance period, JetBlue Airways operated in violation of the restrictions at least nine times. The first noncompliance penalty cost for an airline is $2000; the second costs $6000; the third violation costs $10,000. Online documents do not specify whether JetBlue paid $78,000 in penalties for the most recent compliance period.
The problem for Jet Blue appears to be its flight #186, which is supposed to depart from San Diego for New York at 9:00 p.m. However, if the plane is late to arrive in San Diego, preparation of the plane for the cross-country flight is delayed.
