I looked toward the dance floor and saw that there was one person not dancing. He was just standing there and he did not look happy. I'm not sure why he didn't leave or at least move away from the dancing crowd.

I noticed several people on the dance floor checking their cell phones. A few were text messaging.

I glanced at my phone and saw that it was 1:30 a.m. I headed for the exit. Chris was outside talking to a group of girls. One looked like Lucy Liu and was wearing a Catholic schoolgirl outfit. They gave him hugs and left. A group of three African guys came over and Chris introduced me to them. I said, "Oh, you don't introduce me to the girls, but you introduce me to these guys." He smiled and explained that it was one of their birthdays. I asked the guy how old he was and couldn't understand his answer. His friend was holding a pizza box from where they ate earlier in the evening.

I said, "Hey, speaking of pizza, I got some cold pizza in my fridge that I want to go nosh on."

As I walked away I heard a guy say, "They eat pizza cold in America? Impossible." His buddy replied, "And what is this 'nosh' they put on it?"
