"If we can fix it in a half hour or less, it's only $39!" is the flagship catchphrase of Micromobile's marketing strategy. The firm rolled out its onsite computer repair service in 1993. Vehicles are equipped for computer and printer repairs, networking services, hardware modifications, software upgrades, setup design, and other computer-system needs. Housecalls are part of the charm. Technicians are certified computer and peripheral specialists. Certifications include A-plus, MCSE, Hewlett-Packard, and Apple. "Getting a computer serviced on-site by a Micromobile technician can be more affordable than bringing it in to a repair shop for service," they claim. Carry-in service is available at the company's Escondido base, where the half hour/$39 incentive applies as well. Also available: pickup and delivery, plus custom-configured computer systems covered by a two-year warranty.
