Indestructible wind-up alarm clocks, portable blow-up furniture, and housewares are described as an "eclectic mish mash of modern meets India," by merchandise manager Angelo Wilimek. Imagine looking at your favorite friends while taking a shower -- that can be a reality with the picture-slot shower curtain sold by Urban Outfitters -- just one of the thousands of products that make everyday living a carnival. Wilimek likes working there because the things they sell "are what I would want to see in my house," he said. "We are not boutiquey; we get select merchandise in small quantities, and if you get it, congratulations, because it is probably the last time you are going to see it." Many items have a high turnover, some stick around. Most are low-priced for the young urban folk.
