Dungeons and Dragons

Juvenile game of Good vs. Evil (as Milton Bradley might put it: Ages 6 to 10), set in a Medieval fantasyland populated by mages and commoners, a sulky teenage empress, a giant red-bearded "dwarf," a full-grown pointy-eared "elf," a British-accented mock-Shakespearean bad guy (Jeremy Irons, destroying any last shred of credibility he once held as an actor), a blue-lipped bald-headed bad guy, a purple-faced three-eyed bad guy, a callow vapid fatuous team of good guys, some computer-cartoon monsters, a magical scroll, rod, scepter, something. We could complain about the darkness and dishevelment of the image if this weren't overriden by the complaint that we can make out anything at all. With Justin Whalin, Marlon Wayans, Zoe McLellan, and Thora Birch; directed by Courtney Solomon. 2000.
