Throughout the summer the zoo is open until 9 p.m. with African-themed entertainment and surprising encounters including roaming stilt walkers and a musical processional of pageantry puppets. New this year, Africa Rocks: “Step into a different and wonderful world as you mingle with members of this simulated African village.” Nighttime Zoo concludes with a 20-minute procession along Front Street each evening.
