Trash or Treat
28th and Thorn Street, San Diego, 92104

Attention all ghouls, goblins, and witches. Halloween isn’t the only frightening thing taking place in October. This month, thousands of cigarette butts and other forms of litter will find their way onto the streets of San Diego. Scary, right? That’s why I Love a Clean San Diego is partnering with Surfrider Foundation’s Hold on to Your Butt Committee to help remove debris. Volunteers will meet at Bird Park in North Park, then walk down 30th Street, picking up litter as they go. Some volunteers will also be assisting Surfrider in the maintenance of the cigarette ashcans located nearby. Wear a costume, because the volunteer with the best one wins a prize.
