Sierra Club: Sierra Talks
Coast to Cactus: San Diego Outdoors This presentation, based on book of the same name, is more than a hiking guide to the best of San Diego County outdoors. It is designed to give greater appreciation and understanding of San Diego County, considered one of the 35 biodiversity hotspots in the world. There will be trail naturalists (Canyoneers) introducing habitats and species, as well as cultural and geographical features found in many “Roam-O-Rama” explorations.
Presenter Diana Lindsay is a board member of the San Diego Natural History Museum, a Canyoneer since 1988, an author, and president of Sunbelt Publications. Canyoneers are volunteer citizen scientists trained by the San Diego Natural History Museum to lead free public walks throughout the county. Diana will be joined by long-time Canyoneers Paula Knoll and Jim & Terri Varnell, co-editors of the book. sandiegosierraclub.org or 858-569-6005.
