Herman Li, registrar for the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum, will discuss the life of the infamous Ming civil official Li Song, a man from the coast of the East China Sea who entered the political arena in 1500. This historical lecture will discuss the life and career of Ming officials, the dynamics of mid-level government work, and offer a case analysis on urban development and its challenges in 16th-century China.
