Masters' Cocktail Challenge
The Westgate Hotel and Old Harbor Distillery are partnering to present San Diego Master’s Cocktail Challenge.
Taste uniquely crafted cocktails by San Diego’s finest mixologists, featuring Old Harbor Distillery’s new cold-pressed coffee liqueur, Ampersand, while grooving to the sounds of DJ Alexi. Talented local bartenders who inspired San Diego’s growing cocktail culture will be competing including David Tye of Lion’s Share, Stephen Kurpinsky of George’s at the Cove, Eric Johnson of Juniper and Ivy, Adam Lockridge of Prep Kitchen, Ryan Andrews of the High Dive, Christian Siglin of Bracero, Ryan Walsh of Kettner Exchange, and Irving Gonzalez of The Westgate Hotel.
Each competitor will present their libations to a panel of judges comprised of Josh Kopelman of Dining Out magazine, Daniel Holcomb of Coffee & Tea Collective, Michele Parente of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Candice Woo of Eater San Diego, and Michael Soriano of Onairos Design. Each cocktail will be judged on aroma, creativity, presentation, and title and taste.
VIP provides entry into the Normandy Room where mixologists will be creating their libations to taste each cocktail prepared for the judges. General admission provides guests with two cocktails specially concocted by mixologists, along with appetizers in the Versailles Ballroom.
