Wild and Woolly Wildlife: Bringing Together Conservation, Recreation, and Advocacy.
Renée Owens is a conservation biologist and ethologist who will share her many photos and creature-related experiences amassed while living in Southern California and South America. This isn’t just a travelogue or conservation lecture -- this presentation gets to the heart of some of the most challenging questions of conservation. How and when does advocacy work, why are so many reluctant to be advocates despite their love for wildlife, and how do we use the answers to these questions to build a healthier environmental future?
