Chef Anthony Pascal’s five-course menu and sake from five of Japan’s most celebrated sake breweries.
Before each course, Saiko owner and certified sake specialist Evan Bennett will provide a tutorial on the basics of sake and explain the thought process behind each of the food pairings.
The Master Brewers from each of the featured sakes, along with interpreters, will also be in attendance to answer questions about their products and techniques. The brewers include Joto Toshiaki Imaoka of Izuma Fuji Brewery, Ariyoshi Kato of Fuji Brewery, Tsuyoshi Nakao of Nakao Brewery, Yasunobu Tomita of Tomita Brewery, and Takaaki Yamuchi of Huchu Homare Brewery.
