The Friends of Balboa Park release hundreds of butterflies as part of Balboa Park's Family Science Day. Children 12 and under will have the opportunity to release a live "Painted Lady" butterfly into the insect-friendly garden. Live ladybugs will be handed out as well. There will be butterfly crafts and butterfly face painting for younger kids. Info@friendsofbalboapark.org.
