Tom Smerk has been playing in bands professionally since 1965. As of 2010, he is appearing as a solo artist at coffee house and other venues in San Diego, as well as playing lead guitar for Rightside, a country gospel rock group. Smerk plays acoustic and electric guitar, and has performed in a variety of bands including, rock, jazz, country & western, folk, bluegrass, swing, blues, classical, gospel, and polka.
