Background:
Talk Like June includes Escondido natives Suzanne Harper (vocals), Eric Bird (guitar), Jason “Hollywood” Roberts (bass), Ross Harper (slide guitar, banjo, mandolin), and John Harper (drums). Suzanne Harper has won awards such as 2012 Female Vocalist of the Year in New Country and Horizon Female Entertainer of the Year, awarded by the West Coast Country Music Association.
In summer 2012, the group won KPRI’s Battle of the Fans, winning a support slot at a show featuring the Wallflowers and local songstress Tristan Prettyman.
