Background:

When Chula Vista–based blues-punk trio Pleasure Fix was founded in 2012, singer/bassist Ariel Schwartz was 21 and attending SDSU, where she studied marketing. Her bandmate sister Emily Schwartz, 19, was an SDSU theater major.

“I call it blunk,” says Ariel of their music. The band also includes guitarist Rudy Marquez.
