Background:
Hop-hop artist Brandon Crowel, aka Mr. Brady, first came to local notice in the 1990s, working with local rapper Tony Da Skitzo and, later, the band Deep Rooted. In 2010, he released a solo full-length, followed by two EPs and another full-length, as well as collaborating with LMNO of the L.A. hip-hop group the Visionaries
In 2012, Brady self-released a digital EP Welcome to the City, produced by local Aaron Nash, aka AbJo. That was quickly followed by the Sayin Somethin EP, a collaboration between Brady and spelling-challenged producer Elaquent, featuring guest appearances by local rapper Piff PCH, as well as LMNO (of L.A.’s the Visionaries) and Moka Only (of Swollen Members).
Brady currently lives in Long Beach.
