Background:
The Lyon Crowns is an alternative band featuring Jorge Luna (vocals), Alex Montes (bass), Alejandro Parra (guitar), Ricardo Luna (guitar), and Manuel Zumaya (drums). Sharing a love for music since a young age, they each performed in a church band. Jorge Luna played drums in his church band and younger brother Ricardo Luna played guitar alongside him during youth group church service.
Childhood friends Montes, Parra and Zumaya shared similar stories playing for their church bands too. Ten years later, the five joined forces in the Lyon Crowns. After replacing their original drummer and guitarist, the band recorded an EP in 2009 at Signature Sound with engineer Ruben Montoya. In July
2010, they returned to the Capricorn studio with engineer Bryan Stratman (Hyena).
Their stated philosophy is simple: “if you work hard at something, you can accomplish what you want in this life.”
