Background:
The Lonesome Georges include 2012 Poway High grad Ben Levinson (bass), drummer Nick Velez and sax player Daniel Shaughnessy (both from Coronado School of Arts), and pianist Ben Statz (Westview High School). All four previously played with the band Generation Jazz, with Levinson also having played with the Poway High School Jazz Band.
Their full-length Simple Harmonic Motion landed them a Best New Artist nomination at the 2012 San Diego Music Awards.
