Background:
Loam has been around since 1994, releasing their first EP, Mega, a mere three and a half months after the band's inception. In 1996, Loam released thier first full length album, Stereoscopic, to critical acclaim. The San Diego Union Tribune called it a "master stroke," giving the record 4 out of 4 stars. That same year, Stereoscopic won "Best Local Recording" at the San Diego Music Awards. In 2006, the band teamed up with Populuxe records and producer Christopher Hoffee to make the long-awaited follow-up to Stereoscopic.
