Background:
Former judo champion Levi Robinson (aka Governor Tiggy) heads up the reggae band Ruff Cutt, alongside drummer Lance Rhodes, formerly of the San Diego band Big Mountain. Born in the early 1980s in East Kingston, Jamaica, Robinson was barely in his teens while touring the world as a singer with Gregory Isaacs, who gave him the nickname Tiggy (Rastafarian for "true one").
Robinson moved to San Diego in 2010 and will release his first U.S. full-length in early 2012, following albums released in England and Jamaica.
