Background:
Lady Cellie has been writing lyrics since 2003 but didn’t have the opportunity to record them until summer 2008. Her first recording, “Left Me,” was the first song she ever wrote. Then came “Secret Lover” and “Leaving,” the latter covering a song by the late Lacksley Castell.
“My main focus,” she says, “is to play original roots music, as well as covers of deceased artists such as Bob Marley and Hugh Mundell.” She is usually backed by the band Faith Faward.
