Jah Blood Fiyah Angels formed in 2001, specializing in roots-based reggae dub. The members have recorded and performed with artists like Mikey Dread, Johnny Osborne, Tippa Irie, the Meditations, Yami Bolo, and others.

Singer Kush came out of the Côte d'Ivoire music scene, moving to San Diego in 2003 and joining the band.
