Background:
The duo known as the Japanese-Lovers describe themselves as “Two musically untalented musicians in love with guitar feedback and reverb who get together to make ear-piercing music.”
Singer-guitarist Ricky Soltero and bassist-singer Aaron Guerrero spread the gospel of minimalism and noise experimentation (or exploitation), following the blueprint first created by the Velvet Underground circa White Light/White Heat. Their songs range from almost-pop to unstructured noise freakouts.
Yet to officially release any recordings, a four-song demo is available for
download.
