Based in the Linda Vista/Kearny area, Tyrone Brown -- aka Its Mental -- lived in Philadelphia and Kansas City, MO, before returning to his San Diego hometown. A former member of G.A.S. (God's Anointed Soldiers) in Kansas City, first two CDs were released under his given name.
As of his 2011 CD Changes Self Realization, he goes by the name Its Mental. Recorded and mastered at Full Clip Studios, the CD was co-produced by GodSon from Black Fam and Xact of Faultline, with featured guest performers including Rich Prophet.
