Background:
The High Society Jazz Band specializes in vintage jazz, swing, Dixieland, and dance music. Formed in 1980 by trumpeter and vocalist Larry Channave, past band credits include appearances at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, annual participation in the San Diego Dixieland Jazz Festival, Orange County Classic Jazz Festival, Desert Dixieland Jazz Festival in Palm Springs, Jubilee-by-the-Sea in Pismo Beach, Big Bear Lake Festival of Jazz, and the Arizona Classic Jazz Festivals.
In 2011, the band picked up a Thursday night residency at Tango Del Rey in Pacific Beach.
