Background:

Gill S.O.T.U is a poet, singer/songwriter, MC, dj, artist, event host, and program director of the Marquee, a non-profit arts/music venue in Golden Hill, San Diego. He is involved with several youth poetry programs, including weekly workshops with local juvenile inmates. S.O.T.U was the 2006 Grand Slam Poetry Champion of Ventura County, a three-time winner of the Borders Poetry Slam, and winner of the 2003 CSUCI Student Talent Competition.
