Background:

Genghis Khan first came to local notice with hip-hop crew Masters of the Universe, which has been around since the early 1990s. Members have included Michael Quiñones (aka Scatter Brain the Acid Atheist), his older brother Frankie Quiñones (aka Odessa Kane), as well as former local Gonjasufi.

In 2011, Khan was nominated for a San Diego Music Award. His 2012 full-length Night Gallery was produced by Michael Quiñones.
