Background:

The Event was a mod-minded Britpop-style band formed in the late eighties by singer Ken Naylor and singer/guitarist Tim Soete, who were joined by bassist Mike Therieau and drummer Ben Wayne. After recording a few demos and appearing on the local TV show It’s Happening, they released one album, This Is the Event (1990).
