Background:
Bluesman Billy Watson is often accompanied by the International Silver String Submarine Band, an improvisational, all-star rotating cast of musicians, hand-picked from the California music scene. Since all members also work with their own bands, the lineup changes often, adding mysterious excitement and spontaneity to every performance, while never losing the highest of musical standards and professionalism.
A United by Music blues compilation featuring Watson, That Ain’t It, won CD of the Year (2011) at bluezy.nl. The CD also features Jonny Viau, Laura Chavez, Sue Palmer, Paul Fasulo, Harm Van Sleen, and others.
