Background:
Based in North Park, Beat Panther calls itself a “beat-driven tribute to the love of house, hip-hop, electronic, rock and roll, and pornography. Beat Panther blends dance floor squalor with spaced-out keys, only to bring a glitchy climax to the stage with such full force that Prince would blush.”
Rev (frontman JustinP) and JFeather (DJ/beatmaster) met while their ramshackle bands were touring together. With ghettotech savvy and experimental sensibilities, the duo debuted with “Burn Down the Disco,” a dark, dance-pop anthem about “a girl too sexy for her own good,” which would set the precedent for the new project.
