Never Far Away

Includes the world premiere performance on CD of "Never Far Away" by Bright Sheng,whose works have also been performed at the La Jolla Music Society SummerFest.

Sheng's harp concerto is especially written for the soloist on this recording, Yolanda Kondonassis. All selections on this CD - recorded in January 2009 at downtown's Symphony Hall - are conducted by San Diego Symphony Music Director Jahja Ling.
