Has the Lincoln Club Lost Sway in the South Bay?
I was surprised to see Pamela Bensoussan endorsed by the Lincoln Club also. Breitfelder portrays himself as a right-wing fiscal conservative and I tend to disagree with him on almost everything he says. Beyond that, I whole heartedly supported Prop H in the Nov 2010 election and Breitfelder was one of the two leading opponents of it. Therefore, I will do whatever I can to get Bensoussan re-elected, even if she is endorsed by the Lincoln Club over Breitfelder. Politics sure does make strange bed fellows, as the saying goes.— June 25, 2012 7:58 p.m.
Mayor of Chula Vista Gets Steamed
What's a Mexcian? In your article you write the word Mexcian twice. I have googled the word Mexcian, but I have been unable to find the meaning.— June 25, 2012 7:46 p.m.
Mayor of Chula Vista Gets Steamed
I'm nothing but a stubborn smart-ass? An *ad hominem* attack now? Just because I called you out for your ignorance? You must be neglecting the teachings of Buddha often. Here's the deal . . . if you write about something, you should know something about it. Watching television news is an absurd manner to gain the psyche of a community, let alone trying to understand the success and struggles of the second largest city in the county and the third lowest crime rate in the county. You are no better than Stephen Glass or Jayson Blair. Google them if you don't know who they are.— June 24, 2012 6:09 p.m.

Mayor of Chula Vista Gets Steamed
First, it is John Walsh, not John Wash. Second, I have lived and worked in Chula Vista for over eight years now and I can tell you that your stereotype is not only ignorant, but it is also offensive. Either take the time to come down and make observations of Chula Vista, westside, EastLake, Otay Ranch, etc. or just push your poorly written stereotypes. You may note that Eastlake was voted the best community on San Diego County for over 10 years straight. But I digress, you are probably just scared of people without the Johnson and Smith last names. Possibly Sanchez and Garcia last names frighten you. Being that you're from Escondido, which is probably the most racist elected city government in San Diego County, should surprise nobody.— June 23, 2012 6:50 p.m.

After reading what Brand said, he appears to have a personality that needs to be stroked. Classic case of an ego-maniac.— June 15, 2012 5:13 p.m.

Sweetwater Union HS District Board Meeting Skips Public Comment
I have to hand it to Brand, he definitely knows how to back hand someone with words. Not permitting public comment is a clear violation of the Brown Act and it should be reported to the California Attorney General's Office as well as the California Department of Education.— June 15, 2012 4:55 p.m.
