07:45 Medical: Lifeguard requests medics to tower 13 for a 27 year-old male with a dislocated shoulder from a fight the night before. Medics and San Diego Police respond. Medics transport patient to Kaiser.

12:01 Medical: Pacific Beach lifeguards request medics for a 46 year-old female experiencing nausea from a stingray wound. Patient advised and released.

12:39 Medical: VHF 16 call of a 40 year-old male, on vessel “Chang” experiencing unknown illness. Lifeguard vessel, medics and fire respond. Medics transport patient to Mercy.

13:56 Medical: Lifeguard, fire, and medics respond to The Hyatt Hotel for a 3 year-old with an injury from a fall. Fire to handle.

13:39 Medical: Lifeguard, fire, and medics respond to Crown Point for a 64 year-old male with an altered level of consciousness. Fire to handle.

14:10 Medical: Lifeguards, medics, and fire respond to Blacks Beach for a 33 year-old male with a stingray barb stuck in his foot. Medics transport to an unknown destination.

14:16 Medical: Lifeguards, medics, and fire respond to 1200 Coast for a person down with seizures. Medics transport patient to Scripps La Jolla.

15:35 Medical: Lifeguard responds to a routine stingray patient at Blacks Beach. Patient treated and release.

12:52 Boating: Vessel taking on water at mouth of channel. Lifeguard rescue vessels respond. Vessel is towed to reception dock.

13:20 Boating: Jet ski accident off Campland by the Bay. Lifeguard vessels respond. Not an accident, only capsized mini boat which is towed to beach.

13:44 Medical: Lifeguard vessel reports unconscious male on PWC near Ventura bridge. Victim is brought to lifeguard headquarters for San Diego police and medical evaluations. Police unavailable, medics advise and release patient.

14:26 Medical: Lifeguard reports 65 year-old female with lower leg injury from bike accident at 711 Pacific Beach Dr. Medics respond. Patient transported to Scripps La Jolla.

1520 Medical: La Jolla Cove guard requests medics for 81 year-old female who fainted. Medics transport patient to Scripps La Jolla.

15:31 Boating: VHF 16 call, skipper reports 49-foot sailboat is disabled off Channel. Lifeguard vessel responds and says sailboat is clear and sailing into channel.

16:59 Medical: Medical Distress Call, 12 year-old male having asthma attack at Tower 25. Lifeguards and medics respond. Medics transport patient to unknown location.

17:11 Medical: Medical Distress Call, 19 year-old female, slip and fall at 700 Sunset Cliffs. Lifeguard, emergency, and medics respond. Fire on scene and handles call.

Sept 21

10:30 Boating: Lifeguard vessel and San Diego Police lifeguard headquarters for a transient in a boat being impounded. Person removed from vessel and vessel impounded.

13:06 Medical: Lifeguard vessel, emergency, and medics respond to Fiesta Island dog park for a 71 year-old female with traumatic injuries from a dog bite. Emergency with patient, lifeguards clear.

18:17 Medical: Lifeguards, emergency, and medics respond to the model boat pond for an 81 year-old female who fell. Patient advised and released.

19:26 Cliff. Lifeguards including cliff rescue unit, and helicopter respond to Ladera Park for a person stuck on the rocks below surrounded by water. Lifeguard paddles over to assist person up beach cliff at Ladera. No rope rescue necessary.

Sept 19

09:25 Other: Report of a hazard to navigation in Mariners Basin. Lifeguard vessel responds and brings trash item back to the boat storage unit.

13:30 Medical: Lifeguard requests medics to the Dog Beach Parking lot for a 40 year-old female with an altered level of consciousness. Medics transport patient to UCSD.

14:35 Cliff: 911 call reporting a woman lying on the rocks, pale with purple hands and feet at 1404 Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Lifeguard cliff-response unit and multiple San Diego Police units respond Patient deceased. Medical Examiner contacted.

15:11 Swimmer: 911 call for two swimmers in distress in rip current off the Mushroom House. Lifeguards respond and arrive on scene to find two victims screaming for help while getting hit by a set wave. Both victims rescued by lifeguards and transported by medics to UCSD.

16:46 Swimmer: 911 call, reporting person concerned about two swimmers he saw swim out of Sunny Jim’s Cave, then lost visual. Lifeguards respond. Caller regains visual along with the Cove guard, confirmed no need of assistance.

Sept 18

08:30 Medical: Lifeguard and fire respond to stingray patient at 5200 Voltaire. Routine treatment.

09:15 Medical/Enforcement: Lifeguard, fire and San Diego Police respond to vehicle on rocks at Hospitality Point. Medics transport patient to Scripps La Jolla. Police handle car extrication.

13:03 Swimmer: Lifeguards, including vessel and Jet Ski units respond to snorkeler in distress off Spindrift. Guard on Ski performs rescue.

13:20 Boating: LIfeguards respond to vessel drifting near rocks of South Jetty. Lifeguard vessel tows.

14:03 Enforcement: Lifeguards and San Diego police respond to 911 call of domestic violence in Mission Bay off Brighton. Victim brought to police at Lifeguard Reception Dock.

17:31 Boating: Lifeguard vessel responds to boat in channel having difficulty under good Samaritan tow.

17:35 Boating: Lifeguard vessel responds to Hobie Cat in surf off Mission Beach. Competent sailor is warned and heads west to safety.

Sept 17

16:37 Swimmer: Lifeguard requests a surf boat and JetSki, code 3 to Black Gold Road for four high-hazard rescues. Five victims rescued, two evaluated for possible aspiration, 1 minor transported.

16:48 Medical: Ocean Beach lifeguards request medics for a sick person, 24 year-old female. Medics transport patient to UCSD.

17:11 Medical: 911 caller reporting a 22 year-old female who was stung by a stingray and experiencing diabetic problems at Tower 25. Lifeguards and medics respond, patient advised with fire and is treated.

17:52 Enforcement: Lifeguard requests UCSD police for a person on parole violating a geographic probation. UCSD police take the male into custody.
