Grand Opening: Solana Beach’s Culture Brewing Company picked Beer Week to open its southerly satellite tasting room on Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach. Expect to find many of the small but spunky brewery’s specialty ales pouring from the 18 taps. Guild Fest: Day Two of the San Diego Brewers Guild’s biggest annual event takes it back to its roots while moving it forward. In addition to a beer festival spotlighting every member of the Guild, the day now features a series of “Beer College” seminars covering topics like Building Blocks of Beer, and Craft Beer and Artisanal Doughnuts (insert Homer Simpson drooling). | Port Pavillion at Broadway Pier, 1000 North Harbor Drive, Downtown, 2 p.m.
