Poway man with spray paint ready for taggers

Appreciated Michelle Wyatt story

“She loved the ocean. She was always moving, always on the go.”

Negative glory

Don’t you believe that if you didn’t advertise this kind of crap that there wouldn’t be so many young men taggers messing up the place (“San Diego graff artists confess,” Cover Stories, June 8)?

Let me tell you something, I carry a can of OD green spray paint and when I see tagging, I paint it out. You shouldn’t glorify the negative. Do not do it. You just print this. I dare you. Quit glorifying bullshit.

I may have missed it, but did you eliminate the best feature of your paper, SD on the QT. Please tell me you did not give into WOKE pressure when a couple of people complained about a column a while back that they claimed was not “sensitive”.

SD on the QT is the main reason I pick up your paper every week, I actually cut out the columns and post them in my kitchen so I can walk by and get repeated chuckles. The column’s take on current events is so imaginative and clever, I can’t believe the incredible amount of wit the writers have to put it all together.

I am politically and socially conservative, but the humor goes beyond party lines, and I enjoy it, no mater the political take. If it has been eliminated, please bring it back!

Editor replies:

We actually put it on hiatus during the writing contest because we needed the pages up front. It’s due to return at the end of this month. Every other week.

Sad solution

It was a wonderful however sad story (“Michelle Wyatt murder solved with genetic genealogy”, Cover Stories, June 1). The presentation, the writing, the people that were involved in trying to solve this murder is totally appreciated and I thank you.
