Biden’s Tall Wall Tale

Destruction of Friendship Park gate joins list of Trump traps hampering current President

The grinning ghost of former president Trump enshrouds a frustrated President Biden.

“People have to understand,” a frustrated President Biden said to a frustrated public during a recent address, “many of the problems we’re facing today are inherited from the previous administration. Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, record inflation, persistent covid casualties, rampant gun violence, the repeal of Roe vs Wade, an economy slouching toward recession — it’s all Trump’s fault. Now people are mad at me because we’re going to eliminate the fence at Friendship Park — a fence that has stood since the days of Nixon as a place for people from opposite sides of the border to meet and spend time with one another in mutual love and respect — and replace it with a section of Trump’s terrible wall. But what can I do? It’s not like my party has both the presidency and control of Congress! Really, I have to do stuff like this, since people seem to keeping crossing the border even though I said it’s closed. Very ultra-MAGA behavior. Besides, while it’s true that I said I’d never build another foot of his wall, I never said anything about installing it.”
