13:41 Medical: Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond to Littlerock Jetty for surfer with shoulder injury. Patient transported to UCSD

13:38 Medical: Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond to beach under Ocean Beach Pier for 20 year-old male for head injury from 6’ fall. Person is unconscious and breathing. Subject regains consciousness and elopes.

14:32 Medical: Lifeguard responds to Tourmaline Parking Lot for 911 call of stingray patient. Patient treated and released.

14:51 Swimming: Lifeguard responds to 911 call of possible swimmer in distress off Del Mar Ave. and calls clear after witnessing swimmer in wetsuit with good stroke.

21:12 Boating: Lifeguards, rescue, Fed Fire, Navy Security, and SDPD respond to Coast Guard request for help (via SD Fire-Rescue Dispatch) with 18’ runabout with two uninjured persons on board aground south of Pt. Loma Tide Pools. Boat operator can’t get boat re-launched. Coast Guard refuses to respond. Lifeguard makes initial Fr and person on board non-compliant, refusing to leave their boat and come up cliff with lifeguard. Coast Guard and Navy Security not sure whose jurisdiction this is under. SDPD requested. Lifeguards clear and leave enforcement in hands of Navy Security at 12:13hrs.

10:21 Cliff: Multiple lifeguards including cliff unit respond to a reported fall in Box Canyon with ankle injury. Victim packaged and extricated by lifeguards. Patient transported to Scripps La Jolla.

10:32 Other: Lifeguards, Coast Guard and SDPD respond to a 911 transfer from jumper off Ingraham bridge. Jumper rescued by lifeguard. Patient transported to Ski Beach, then to UCSD.

13:49 Medical: Overdose at 1904 Quivira Way. Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond. Patient transported to UCSD.

09:10 Boating: Lifeguard boat unit responds to Coast Guard request to undertake tow of disabled vessel off Mission Bay Channel. Joint Harbor Operations Center notified of possible illegal activity. Vessel towed to lifeguard reception dock. SDPD clears vessel and boat remains at dock awaiting Vessel Assist.

11:00 Boating: Lifeguard boat unit responds to possible kayaker in distress in Sail Bay. Unable to locate. Clear.

12:51 Medical: Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond to Adair at Osprey for non-breather. Fire handles.

15:00 Boating: Lifeguard boat units respond to vessel listing in Mariner’s Basin. Same vessel that broke anchor earlier still aground, but anchor reset for tide.

16:32 Medical: Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond to Ocean Beach Tower for altered level of consciousness. Patient elopes.

11:40 Enforcement: Person acting crazy and scaring beachgoers at the north end of Blacks Beach. Lifeguard responds and meets with reporting person. Suspect leaves area.

12:32 Boating: Report of a canoe entering Kendall Frost Reserve. Crown Point. Lifeguard boat unit responds. Unable to locate.

Dec 5

17:28 Boating: Lifeguard boat unit responds to Coast Guard request of vessel adrift south of Sewage Treatment Plant. Coast Guard vessel on scene, but is unable to provide tow as vessel is inside kelp bed with dead battery. Lifeguard extracts vessel and takes under tow to SD Bay. Vessel turned over to Vessel Assist.

17:50 Other: Lifeguards and Coast Guard respond to red flares reported off Blacks Beach. Naval operations confirmed in area. Coast Guard to handle.

Dec 3

18:05 Swimmer: Lifeguard land, boat and air units along with SDPD respond to 911 call at Campland by the Bay for Rangers who detained a suspect for SDPD, but suspect fled into the water. Citizen kayakers follow suspect and locate in waist-deep water. SDPD arrests suspect.

20:04 Boating: SDPD requests impound of suspect’s boat from earlier theft attempt at Campland.

Lifeguard confirms with PD that boat will be impounded Dec 4 by day crew.

09:28 Medical: Convulsions, 40 year-old female at 998 West Mission Bay Dr. Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond. Medics to handle.

10:55 Medical: Traumatic injuries 60 year-old male surfing accident laceration under eye. Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond fire medics to handle.

16:01 Medical: Traumatic Injury, dislocated shoulder, 30 year-old male at Froude & Sunset Cliffs. Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond fire medics to handle.

Dec 1

08:16 Medical: Male helped out of the water at South Mission Beach. Lifeguards and Fire respond. Medics cancel. Lifeguards advise patient. Patient will self-transport.

11:12 Medical: Medical aid stingray to foot at tourmaline. Lifeguards respond and treat at Pacific Beach Main Tower.

15:06 Medical: Lifeguards request medics for a 19 year-old female with a pre-existing condition at La Jolla Shores. Lifeguards and Fire respond. Patient advised, released.

Nov 30

09:00 Boating: 911 caller reporting small fishing vessel with smoke and flames showing,

Lifeguard boat and Jet Ski units respond. Navy and Coast Guard contacted. Lifeguard meets with reporting person. Area searched, unable to locate.

16:06 Medical: Head Injury from a fall. Lifeguard, emergency and medical units respond but stand back for SDPD. SDPD, lifeguards clear. Fire & medics to handle.

Nov 29

12:20 Boating: Lifeguard communications center observes a 25’ sloop on fire in the Turning Basin. Two occupants rescued from vessel by lifeguard boat unit while other boat unit initiates attack of the free floating, free burning vessel. Vessel fire is knocked down and vessel towed to Fiesta Island for fire department to perform overhaul and investigation. Beach Mechanized

Units remove vessel for demolition and disposal. Incident terminates at 14:30

Nov 28

12:05 Medical: Lifeguard requests medics to Blacks Beach for a 24 year-old male suffering from facial trauma. Fire and medical units respond and patient advised, released by medics.
